Tell them about it ...
Duke University historian, David Cecelski, interviewed 98-year-old Elizabeth Sanderlin about her life in rural eastern North Carolina. She was a home demonstration agent in the 1920s and 30s and talked about her upbringing: Her mother, she said, "taught me to see some good in everybody and tell them about it. There’s some good in everybody and you should help them to bring it out, that’s what my mother always said.”
