Pastimes Bowling for a strike ...
With
presidential candidates trying a hand at bowling or challenging an
opponent to a game, we’d thought we’d pass along a few bowling tips.
According to author Don Carter who wrote the 10 Secrets of Bowling in
1957, “the best spot to hit the pins for a strike is between the 1 and
3 pins (or the 1 and 2 pins if the player is left-handed).” Carter says
you achieve this by releasing “the ball on the floor board that leads
directly to the second arrow-shaped marker from the right.” Of course,
you have to have the right spin so the ball will hook slightly to the
left as it approaches the pins. We’re off to the lanes now!
