My mom got this recipe out of our local newspaper a few years back. The cookies are her most requested sweet. All of mom’s friends and our entire family ask for the cookies on their birthdays. These cookies are addictive!
Screamers
4 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
1 (10-ounce) bag almond toffee bits, such as Heath
1 (12-ounce) bag white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. In a bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. In a large mixing bowl, beat together margarine, the sugars and vanilla until well blended. Add eggs one at a time. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until also well blended. Stir in toffee bits and white chocolate chips. Chill dough for 30 minutes. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 13 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow to cool and enjoy!
