Avoid slipping in your new shoes ...
Nothing is more exciting than wearing a hip new pair of shoes on the town. But nothing is more embarrassing than falling down a flight of steps in said shoes. You buy a new pair of shoes, and they’re slick. After taking a major spill, my mom told me how she avoids the snafu. Before wearing any new shoes, she walks around in them in our driveway or out on the street, sliding around until the soles get a decent amount of wear. This might look silly, but it’s not nearly as silly as falling down!
