Why are TV Commercials SO LOUD!?!?!? ...
I was complaining about the volume of TV commercials with my friend Molly. I have always wondered why they seem so much louder than my beloved shows. Fortunately, Molly had the answer. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) says commercials must be no louder than the loudest part of the programming. Therefore, if one of the ladies from Wisteria Lane on Desperate Housewives screams in fright, the commercials throughout the show can be just as loud as her scream. This sure makes us grateful for our DVR!
