The Kentucky Derby may be over, but you still may want to check out Lilly’s Bistro in Louisville. I used to work there and the food, drinks and atmosphere are all perfect! Owner and head chef Kathy Cary is one of my favorite people, and she makes some of the most inspired dishes I’ve ever tasted. She was the first Louisville chef to be invited to the prestigious James Beard Foundation and is revered in food circles. Her restaurant celebrates local farmers and gives visitors the best flavors from the region.
